The annual Rocky Mountain ATV Jamboree’s attempt at breaking a world record has been changed.

The parade lineup is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Organizers of the jamboree have been working since January to break the world record for most quad bikes in a parade. The parade is set to start lining up on College Avenue, west of the Richfield City Swimming Pool.

Each rider will be provided with an official number to pin onto his or her shirt and at 6:30 p.m., the parade is slated to begin.

The parade will follow 500 North heading east to Richfield’s Main Street. From there, the parade will travel south along Main to 500 South, make a U-turn and then proceed back along Main Street to the park.

The official record now stands at 1,632 quads thanks to the Minnesota Offroad Association, which broke the record earlier this year.

Kevin Arrington, Rocky Mountain ATV Jamboree director, said the world record attempt is open to anyone who has an ATV. He said the jamboree is asking anyone in the region who has an ATV to come to the parade and help with the record attempt.

The attempt is being dedicated to Mark Fuellenbach, who passed away in April. Fuellenbach was the publisher of The Reaper, and a staunch supporter of the jamboree.
