"I Remember Mom"

*SANDY, UTAH, May 4, 2010* --- Preveda Books- focused on families coming together to understand care giving- has released Harvey Hunts for Hugs and Where the Lilacs Bloom, stories of love and appreciation to help families unite with a better understanding of Alzheimer’s and care facilities.

“Where the Lilacs Bloom really helped me through a difficult time after my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s” says Jeanne Henry, daughter of the author. “It gave me the gift of understanding and allowed me to express what really mattered; my love for a grandmother who had forgotten my name. Writing our memories helped me to focus on the wonderful times with Nana.”

Preveda Books is about journeys, exploration, and building bridges across the generations. Our books are about helping parents and children create positive experiences when caring for a loved one.

A portion of all sales will be donated to the Utah Alzheimer’s Association and the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging’s Futures Fund.

“I was unequipped to explain to my children why their grandmother no longer remembered them,” says Stacy Whittemore, owner of Preveda Books. “These books were written so that the unknown could be better explained to my children and the focus redirected from the disease. The books are designed to scrapbook pictures and journal the journey so that lasting memories of what really matters were created, our times together.”

- Please join Harvey as he learns how to hug, and explore how to be a new best friend in Where the Lilacs Bloom. Both are ready to download as scrap book editions.
